PFLAG Hastings

PFLAG Hastings is a local chapter of the nation’s largest organization supporting LGBTQ+ people, their families, friends, and allies. Our goal is simple: to help make Hastings a place where everyone feels welcome, supported, and free to be themselves.

We offer confidential support meetings where folks can ask questions, share stories, and feel less alone—whether they’re LGBTQ+ themselves or a parent, caregiver, or loved one looking to learn and support. We focus on kindness, understanding, and real conversations, helping people find connection and encouragement without judgment.

Beyond support and education, PFLAG Hastings is all about building community. We host fun, inclusive social events that bring people together and create spaces where everyone belongs. Our Pride Prom gives LGBTQ+ youth and allies a safe, joyful night to celebrate exactly who they are. Swim Night offers a welcoming, comfortable space to relax and enjoy being yourself, and our Monthly Coffee Socials give people of all ages a low‑key way to connect, talk, and build friendships.

Everything we do is about connection—bringing people together across generations and backgrounds to strengthen our community. Funds raised through this event help us keep our support groups going, host inclusive social events, and reach more people who could use a welcoming space. Together, we’re helping make Hastings a community where everyone is valued, supported, and proud to belong.
