The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating in citizenship, and develops personal fitness.



More than anything, the local Scouting program needs people who want to invest in the future of Scouting. An investment so that the next generation of young people can collect more food for to donate to the local food pantry in the Scouting for Food program, more Scouts can practice good citizenship by waving the flag patriotically during the parade, Scouts can learn the importance of living a lifestyle that challenges them to be both physically and mentally fit and a generation of youth that will learn the great values that Scouting teaches.
