The work of enCourage matters to me because I've seen the light back in a survivor's eyes after a month in their own home--a home that's safe, where no one yells and hands are used to help instead of hurt. I've watched survivors form community in our support groups after years of forced isolation. I've watched our team walk alongside survivors in the most vulnerable moments of their lives; whether it's accompanying someone to the hospital after an assault or standing with someone in court as they ask for protection. Having a reliable agency vehicle would make an enormous difference in our ability to literally meet survivors where they are. A vehicle would allow us to safely (without the worry of a breakdown) transport clients to court hearings, medical appointments or housing interviews, all of which are crucial steps on their path to safety and stability.

enCourage Advocacy Center works proactively to address root causes of abuse and violence in Adams, Nuckolls, Clay and Webster counties and promote safe, nonviolent communities. enCourage Advocacy Center endeavors to model effective relationships and combat human trafficking while empowering survivors of abuse and sexual assault. enCourage Advocacy Center serves people of all ages, genders and walks of life.
