The Downtown Lighting Project is transforming the heart of Hastings into a vibrant, welcoming destination for everyone. We’ve begun installing programmable, color-changing LED lights on downtown buildings that highlights our historic architecture and creates an atmosphere that feels alive both day and night.

These dynamic lights allow us to celebrate holidays, honor local teams, support community causes, and elevate downtown events throughout the year. From patriotic displays to school colors on game days, our buildings can now reflect the pride and spirit of Hastings in real time.

We’ve made great progress, but we’re not finished yet.
