For 100 years, the Hastings Symphony Orchestra (HSO) has culturally enriched south central Nebraska by providing quality live music and music education for people of all ages and backgrounds.

This Give Day we ask for your support for our growing education outreach program. Schools are changing how they handle field trips and days out of the school building, so the HSO is changing, too. This program takes the music to the kids; performing out in the communities of central Nebraska, utilizing the HSO’s Johnson-Jensen Fund. The HSO conductor and musicians will introduce children to classical music, showcasing the instruments and performers, to ignite a passion for music and foster lifelong music enthusiasts.

Education programming also provides playing opportunities for student musicians and child and student concert tickets are always free.
