Heartland Pet Connection

The Mission of the Heartland Pet Connection is to serve as a voice for the humane treatment of all animals and to better the connection of people to pets through education. At the shelter, the safety and health of each animal is a priority for staff and volunteers while providing compassionate care. Each animal receives veterinary care, vaccinations and tests to ensure it's healthy before adoption. Our goal to provide the best care possible for the homeless animals that need it the most.

Heartland Pet Connection has been supported by the community through Give Hastings Day to continue on our mission to care for the homeless animals. Each year projects are selected based on need in our shelter and we have been fortunate to complete the following over the last several years; Mobile cat condos, sealing the kennel floors, power washer system for cleaning kennels, upgraded ventilation system in the cattery and dog kennels, outdoor kennels for dogs. These projects help us provide a clean, healthy and safe environment for the homeless animals of our area.
