Zion Classical Academy

The mission of Zion Classical Academy is to cultivate Truth, Wisdom, and Virtue in our students through classical Christian education in order to equip them for a life of service to God and neighbor.

Zion Classical Academy is Hastings’ first classical Christian school, serving students from preschool through sixth grade and welcoming families from many churches across our community. Our school exists to help raise thoughtful, faithful, and compassionate young people through a rich liberal arts education rooted in the Christian faith.

At Zion, students are taught to see themselves as disciples with unique gifts given by God. As they grow in knowledge and understanding, they also grow in character. We encourage our students to recognize that they are more than future members of the workforce. They are individuals who are fearfully and wonderfully made, called to live well and virtuously in whatever vocation they pursue.

Our classrooms are places of joyful challenge where students read great books, practice recitation, learn language carefully, and grow in wisdom alongside dedicated Christian teachers who care deeply for each child. We believe that academic excellence follows from the formation of strong character, and that education should shape both the mind and the heart.

Give Hastings Day Project

This year, Zion Classical Academy is raising funds to purchase durable outdoor picnic tables that will help create welcoming gathering spaces for our students. These tables will serve as places for outdoor learning, lunch with classmates, and moments of rest and conversation throughout the school day.

By supporting this project, you are helping provide students with spaces that encourage community, friendship, and time spent learning together beyond the classroom walls.
